Medium-coated rutile electrodes are particularly recommended for welding light metal structures and thin carbon steel sheets. They are suitable for welding non-alloy steels with a carbon content of up to 0.25%, for lightweight structures used at temperatures up to 0°C.
The arc is stable, and spatter is very low in both direct and alternating current.
The weld bead has a good appearance and the slag is easily removed.
